NCTC Hosts US FBI Legal Attaché, Charles Smith JR

The Directorate of Technical Services (DTS) led by Col. Abdulrasak O. Kazeem, on behalf of the National Coordinator, National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), Rear Admiral YEM Musa (rtd) received the United States Legal Attaché (LEGAT), Charles Smith JR and his Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) team, recently.

The aim of the visit was to strengthen existing collaborative efforts between Nigeria and the United States of America to counter Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE) terrorism and forensic investigations.

 The visit also helped to consider other areas of collaboration especially CBRNE risk assessments and threats mitigation, intelligence gathering analysis, development of integrated Counter Terrorism (CT) database infrastructure, as well as the certification of the NCTC Forensics Laboratories by International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).
