NCTC, NFIU hold workshop on Countering Terrorism Financing in Nigeria

The National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), in collaboration with the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) and representatives of His Majesty’s Treasury, held a 2-day workshop on the Action Plan for the ‘National Strategy for Countering Terrorism Financing’ from 23 to 24 August, 2023 in Abuja.

The workshop which took place at the NCTC Auditorium also witnessed the inauguration of representatives of relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) into a Standing Joint Counter Terrorism Financing Committee by the National Coordinator, Rear Admiral YEM Musa (rtd) .

The Workshop aimed to identify gaps in the nation’s capacity to counter the Financing of Terrorism with a view to proffer more efficient and practicable methods.
